Baby-Friendly Trails: White Oak Park

These days, Lana and I are all about exploring Houston’s many parks, trails and green spaces before the hot summer is upon us! Last weekend I stumbled on this easy, stroller-friendly trail along the bayou on a little family outing in Montrose / Woodland Heights. Isn’t it just begging to be explored?

If you choose to undertake this adventure, you’ll be rewarded with several cute spots for photo ops (including bluebonnets during bluebonnet season)!

You’ll also see some cute Victorian houses…

…and some modern art. The entire path is paved and flat, perfect for a stroller walk.

After about a mile, you’ll end up at a cute little playground at Stude Park.

Once you’re done, head back the way you came for a total distance of 2 miles!

If you go, here’s how to get there:

  • This is where you’ll want to drive to (Google Maps link)
  • Park free on the street at White Oak Drive and N Sabine St
  • Cross the road and look for a path heading downhill to the left
  • Once you’re at the bayou, turn to the right and follow the paved trail!
